Association of Young People with Disabilities (SUMH)

The Bevica Foundation and the Association of Young People with Disabilities (SUMH) work together to ensure that young people with disabilities are represented, heard and actively participate in decisions and development that relate to their lives. At the same time, their votes are crucial for the Foundation's other partnerships.

The partnership between the Association of Young People with Disabilities (SUMH) and the Bevica Foundation aims to promote universal design and a nuanced view of people, as well as train young people to advocate for strengthened inclusion and expansion of the concept of normality through universal design.

Through the partnership, which was established in 2020, the voice of young people from their lives with disabilities has become stronger and clearer. In parallel, the organization has been developed in a way that allows young people to lift the agenda into many different arenas.

The youth voice of SUMH is central to the work with the Foundation's other partners, and they provide a lively perspective into many of the initiatives that arise in the partnerships, which is indispensable.

The voice of young people and the important work they contribute to raising awareness about life with a disability was recognised in 2025 with a grant of an additional DKK 12 million, which, among other things, goes to support the operation of SUMH's secretariat.
