Accessibility Statement
At Bevica Fonden, we want digital accessibility for everyone. This naturally follows from our strategic objectives, which are based on the UN's Leave No One Behind agenda and the UN Convention on Disability and the Convention's focus on universal design as a values-based approach to creating a more equal society for all.
We have therefore strived to create a website that at least complies with the Danish and international guidelines for web accessibility, i.e. WCAG 2.2 level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Method for testing website accessibility
- The website has been tested using a combination of:
- Self-analysis performed with Webflow's accessibility tools
- Automated testing via Webflow MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Claude Sonet
- Manual review of key features and content
- Qualitative user tests with six users with different prerequisites
- Automated performance and availability testing via PageSpeed Insights
Status and ongoing and planned efforts
There may be content from external services such as embedded maps, podcasts and videos that do not fully meet accessibility requirements. There may also be some older pdf files that do not meet all accessibility requirements.
In addition, we are working to identify and correct the shortcomings in the following areas of action:
Navigation and structure
- Some subpages may lack adequate navigation support for screen reader users. In addition, there are some places in knowledge posts and news where the layout of the headlines does not match the hierarchy of the content. It can cause confusion for users of screen readers.
-
Photos and video
- Some images lack alternative texts (alt texts). This makes it difficult for users of screen readers to get information about what the images contain. In addition, videos may lack subtitles or text alternatives.
-
Bevica Foundation's AI Assistant
- The Bevica Foundation's AI Assistant (intelligent assistant, which is based on artificial intelligence), is not yet compatible with the accessibility menu. This means, for example, that it is not possible to make the text larger or increase the contrast in the AI assistant window.
-
In addition to the fixes mentioned, which are already underway, we have planned to deploy additional ARIA attributes where necessary. ARIA attributes can, for example, improve the availability of buttons and other interactive elements for users of screen readers.
Continuous development of accessibility
We continuously develop the website to ensure that it is as usable as possible for as many people as possible, with particular focus on our users with a mobility disability. We know that it is a constant process in which we seek to balance our own resources and the needs of our users.
Thus, we are continuously working to ensure and improve accessibility and are actively looking for new ways to accommodate and implement better accessibility for our users.
In addition, we monitor new versions of the WCAG Guidelines, continuously correct accessibility errors that users may report, and conduct once-a-year user tests with different user groups, including users using screen readers and other assistive technologies to navigate.
