Historically, public libraries have been a place where anyone, regardless of social background or ability, could come and gain enlightenment and knowledge. Therefore, the library is an obvious player in relation to the work on more inclusion and increased sustainability. But the outside world must understand the new role of libraries and libraries must be geared to the new world, says researcher.
