Marika Prüsse Sandland

The Bevica Foundation and Landsbyggefonden have entered into a strategic partnership with the aim of integrating the principles of universal design into the development of the public housing areas of the future. The collaboration focuses on creating inclusive and accessible urban environments where all residents -- regardless of physical or cognitive prerequisites -- can participate on equal terms.
Marika Prüsse Sandland plays a key role in this partnership as a consultant to the Landsbyggefonden's Department for Urban Strategy. She works to develop and implement urban strategic interventions that promote universal design in the planning and development of residential areas. Marika's work helps ensure that the residential spaces of the future are designed with a focus on accessibility, inclusion and sustainability.
The partnership between the Bevica Foundation and the Landsbyggefonden includes, among other things, the development of tools and methods that can be used by housing organisations and municipalities in their work to create more inclusive housing areas. In addition, the cooperation is included in a number of pilot projects where the principles of universal design are tested and implemented in concrete urban development projects.
Through this collaboration, the Bevica Foundation and Landsbyggefonden work together to set new standards for how public housing can be developed with a focus on universal design. The goal is to create residential areas that not only meet technical requirements for accessibility, but also promote social inclusion and community among residents.
