Universal design and the future of cities

Universal design as a force for change in urban development
Universal design and the future of cities
Camilla Ryhl, Research Director at the Bevica Foundation, has been out discussing universal design at the Landsbyggefonden Urban Strategy Conference, where key players met to exchange solutions and visions for the cities of the future and participate in debates about a healthy future. In her presentation, Camilla introduced the concept of universal design and told about the human vision and potential behind the concept. Universal design is not just about physical structures, but also about creating a society that values diversity and accommodates space for all. Universal design is therefore essential in sustainable and health-promoting urban development and planning.
