How can we design for everyone? Universal design is a concept and method based on a vision of creating equal solutions for all, so that everyone can participate in society on equal terms.

In collaboration with the Bevica Foundation, Statens Kunstfond has prepared an inspiration guide for universal design. The aim of the guide is to inspire designers and artisans to develop equal and universal design solutions for the benefit of all. The Inspiration Guide provides a basic understanding of universal design and how it can be applied in the context of the World Goals, particularly the Leave No One Behind pledge. The guide can be used to make the work of universal design more concrete through the use of the seven principles, concrete guidelines as well as the eight goals of universal design.
