Panel debate: What does representation and language mean for inclusion?

On 9 October 2025, we held the Bevica Scholarship Award Show at Industriens Hus.
The event programme included a panel debate on how our shared language about — and representation of — people with disabilities influence the path towards a more inclusive society. The panel also discussed what new knowledge we need in order to create a society that can accommodate more diverse bodies.
Participating in the debate were:
- Bo Rygaard, one of Denmark’s most influential board chairs
- Naima Yasin, Head of Secretariat for SAGA
- Marie Louise Pollmann-Larsen, Team Lead - Student Innovation, DTU Skylab
- Christian Lykkeby Olsen, Impact Manager at the Paralympic Committee and Paralympic Athlete.
The debate was moderated by debater and author Moussa Mchangama and further framed by Caroline Casey, founder of The Valuable 500 - an organisation that brings together 500 of the world’s most influential CEOs to work on disability inclusion. Its members include CEOs from Apple, Microsoft, and Google.
Watch the debate below. NB: The conversation is in English.
