Bevica Fonden and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) have entered into a multi-year partnership under the heading “Technology Leaving No One Behind.” The collaboration aims to integrate the principles of universal design and inclusion into technological innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. The goal is to ensure that the technological solutions of the future are accessible and usable for everyone, regardless of individual abilities and circumstances.
The partnership focuses on integrating the principles of universal design into DTU’s educational and innovation environments. This includes the development of teaching programmes, workshops, and events designed to inspire students and entrepreneurs to incorporate inclusion into their technological solutions. One example is a series of workshops held during Folkemødet, where participants work with universal design in practice to create more accessible and inclusive solutions.
In addition, DTU Skylab is behind the “Discover Universal Design” programme, developed in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy.
DTU Skylab’s work plays a vital role in fostering a culture in which technological innovation goes hand in hand with social responsibility and inclusion. Through the partnership, a new generation of engineers and designers is being shaped with a strong awareness of the importance of creating solutions for everyone.
