In “Abnormal People”, journalist Sonja Furu examines our understanding of normality, deviance, inclusion and the human vision. For there is no such thing as a normal; we are all different, and there must be room for and access for all of us.

In the book, Sonja Furu invites us on a journey into her own prejudices and uses them as a starting point to explore whether society today forgets some and leaves them behind from the rest.

On the journey we meet a number of people with disabilities and gain insight into some of the experiences they have in the encounter between their disability and the rest of society.

“Just approach me as if I didn't have a disability, and I'll just say stop or sometimes if I need something. Be with me on an equal footing with other people.”

You can listen to Tilde and a number of other guests in the new podcast series “Abnormal People”. In a five-episode series, writer and journalist explores Sonja Furu normality and the Danish view of human life anno 2022 and historically.
