Technology Leaving No One Behind wins Diversity Award 2025

Bevica Foundation's partnership with DTU Skylab “Technology Leaving No One Behind” receives Diversity Prize 2025
Every year, the Foundation for Entrepreneurship celebrates educational institutions and initiatives that promote diversity and push the framework for entrepreneurship education. DTU Skylab was presented with the award by Minister of Research Christina Egelund (M) at the Danish Entrepreneurship Festival at the Statens Museum of Art on 17 November 2025.
“DTU Skylab shows that innovation and entrepreneurship continue to find solutions in areas that have been under the radar for too long. They take on a responsibility to develop and share knowledge about how technology can be for everyone — and that makes them a role model both nationally and internationally.” says Christina Egelund.
Since 2019, the Bevica Foundation and DTU Skylab have been working together in the partnership Technology Leaving No One Behind, which integrates Universal Design into the teaching at DTU. The strategic objective of the partnership is that diversity and inclusion are considered in the development of design and technological solutions, thereby contributing to a society in which all bodies and brains are taken into account.
Innovation consultant at DTU Skylab Ingrid Haug says:
We are delighted that the Foundation for Entrepreneurship's Diversity Award goes to Technology Leaving No One Behind. It is important to focus on inclusion and Universal Design with those who develop the technology of the future, so that we ensure solutions that can be used by all people - regardless of functional ability. At the same time, we see great innovative potential in the field, which is clearly reflected in the growing number of projects and startups at DTU that work with just this.
