The partnership distributes the first funds

With a vision to implement Universal Design as a natural part of the way the general sector renovates, builds and furnishes homes and urban areas, the partnership between the National Building Foundation and the Bevica Foundation awards DKK 2 million to projects arising from the Bevica Foundation's multidisciplinary research network. Ambition of the partnership between the Bevica Foundation and the National Building Fund is to increase the concrete knowledge of universal design in the general construction sector among the most important players and to concretize the concept so that it makes sense for residents. It is also essential that the projects are practice-oriented and ensure concrete and application-oriented knowledge that the National Construction Fund can use in their work and projects/processes. Based on this, the partners will award up to DKK 2 million for projects that originate from the Bevica Foundation's multidisciplinary research network. To follow the projects, a follow-up group has been set up consisting of people from Landsbyggefonden, Bevica Fonden, Aarhus Municipality and Brabrand Housing Association. The two projects that have received funding use Toveshøj, which is part of Brabrand Boligforening, as a case. Throughout the process, there will be close dialogue between all involved. In 2024, funds have been distributed for two projects, which you can read about below.
