Bevica Seed Grant

In collaboration with DTU Skylab Every year, the Bevica Foundation awards Bevica Seed Grants to selected startup projects created by students at DTU Skylab. Through Seed Grants, we support the development of new, sustainable technological solutions that, based on universal design, contribute to increased inclusion and accessibility for more people.

In the handouts, emphasis is placed on the extent to which the project involves and lives up to the following. :

  • Accessibility and universal design
  • Community benefit
  • Market potential
  • Value for money
  • Team Competencies

Past Recipients of the Bevica Seed Grant

Since 2020, the Bevica Seed Grant has been awarded to startups developing inclusive solutions or assistive products.

 

! 2025

  • GradeAid received DKK 70,000 to develop AI-generated learning for children with neurodiversity and disabilities.
  • Senseway was awarded DKK 60,000 for tactile toilet cards to help visually impaired people orientate themselves in public toilets.
  • Friendly Compass was awarded DKK 15,000 for initial research to create a platform for (out) renting available holiday destinations.

2024

  • Boundless was awarded DKK 80,000 to develop an app that helps people find quiet areas at events as well as other inclusive features.
  • BreatheWise was awarded DKK 20,000 to develop a prototype of a wearable device that uses haptic feedback to help people breathe better.

2023

  • Snapform received 70,000 DKK for their work on prosthetics.

2022

  • DrinkSaver received 87,000 DKK for the development of a drinking solution for people with motor challenges-
  • GEND received DKK 55,000 for the work on a chair for disabled women, which makes it easier to urinate.
  • Levara received 49,000 DKK for the development of an inflatable, portable toilet seat for people with disabilities.

2021

  • Syncsense received DKK 75,000 for their next generation VR therapy.

2020

  • CanEx received DKK 20,000 for their work on a handheld navigation device for the visually impaired.
