Leaders are trained in universal design
The leaders of the future will be taught methods and tools within universal design and in inclusion both as a driver of innovation and as a market opportunity.
The project team in the foundation's partnership with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) collaborates with and contributes to courses across bachelor's, master's and diploma programmes at DTU.
One of them is the course on sustainability-driven innovation at DTU's Master's programme in Sustainable Management, to which the team has contributed since 2023. The course focuses on the relationship between creativity and innovation and how design thinking and user involvement can be used to develop socially sustainable solutions through building empathy and using dialogue tools and design methodologies. There is an active focus on the SDG promise of Leaving No One Behind, and trainees are introduced to various innovation tools that focus on no one being left behind.
Leaders of the future will be taught methods and tools within universal design and in involving stakeholders and users. They also learn to see inclusion both as an innovation and a market opportunity, to explain the pros and cons of using universal design to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and to arrange and reflect on the use of workshop and co-creation techniques in the design process.
