Barbara Nino Carreras

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Copenhagen. I am a part of the European research project NewWorkTech, where I combine video ethnography, ethnomethodology, conversation analysis, and action research to collaborate with disabled people and explore their use of assistive technologies, for example artificial intelligence (AI), in work-from-home and workplace settings.
I obtained my PhD from the IT University of Copenhagen in 2024 at the Technologies in Practice research group where I was a member of the ETHOS Lab. My research integrates multimodal forms of collaborative analysis, focusing on digital accessibility, video ethnography, disability culture, sequential art, artistic methods, and experimental ethnography. My studies are located at the intersection of science & technology studies (STS) and human-computer interaction (HCI).
