Der er nedsat en jury til Ph.d.-call’et. Juryen består af anerkendte eksperter fra forskning og praksis inden for Ph.d.-call’ets centrale temaer, herunder universelt design, inklusion, handicap, Leave No One Behind og verdensmålene. Samlet bidrager juryen med bred faglig indsigt og tværgående perspektiver, der sikrer en grundig og kvalificeret vurdering af ansøgningerne.

Thomas Sinkjær
  • Dr.med. and PhD, Chairman of Bevica Fonden Board
  • Professor at the Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University
  • Secretary General of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.

Thomas Sinkjær is a scientist within neurosciences and technology with a focus on understanding how the brain controls our movements and how new technology can improve mobility impairments. Besides his many academic accolades, Thomas Sinkjær brings important knowledge to the Bevica Scholarship Programme from his posts in public and private research foundations. He has been the Director of the Danish National Research Foundation, the Research Director of the Villum Foundation, and the Lundbeck Foundation. Furthermore, he is a member of the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy, providing advice to the Danish Government on Danish research, both politically, strategically, and practically speaking.

Ulrika K. Stigsdotter

Ulrika K. Stigsdotter is a professor in landscape architecture with special responsibilities within health design at the University of Copenhagen.

She is head of an interdisciplinary research group focusing on the interplay between humans, nature, health and design.

Stigsdotter is also responsible for the Nature, Health and Design Laboratory, which includes the Nacadia® therapy garden, the Health Forest Octovia® and Move Green (established in 2021).

Liselotte Hyveled has a distinguished track record in driving external innovation and building high-impact strategic partnerships within the life science sector. In her roles at Novo Nordisk, she has shaped the company’s approach to patient collaboration, research alliances, and innovation strategy across research, development, and clinical studies. She is recognized for her visionary leadership and ability to deliver innovation turnarounds through creative and value-driven strategies. A strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, she has designed and launched groundbreaking programs that open new pathways for utilizing societal talent across visible and invisible disabilities and senior citizens. Alongside her corporate leadership, she brings extensive governance experience from board, advisory, and public council roles.

Per-Olof Hedvall

Per-Olof Hedvall is a professor of design whose research focuses on accessibility, usability, and universal design beyond traditional distinctions between “us” and “them”. His work examines how classifications of dis/ability and gender can function as patterns of inequality and discrimination, and how alternative forms of categorisation can be developed without producing stigma. Through his research, he seeks to contribute to the implementation of universal design in Sweden by advancing more inclusive design frameworks that challenge normative assumptions and support participation across diverse bodies, identities, and capabilities.

Leif Olsen
  • Evaluator and researcher within social and disability services
  • Evaluator and researcher working across social and disability policy and practice

Leif Olsen works with the evaluation, development, and implementation of social interventions within the social and disability sector. His work focuses particularly on initiatives targeting groups with complex needs and on how the content, organization, and implementation of interventions influence citizens’ quality of life and participation in communities. He applies a methodological approach grounded in theories of change and combines qualitative and quantitative methods in his work. Leif Olsen brings extensive experience from research, practice-oriented evaluations, and advisory roles within both municipal and governmental contexts, contributing deep insight into how social interventions can be designed and implemented to support participation and inclusion.
