Marie Christoffersen Gramkow

The Bevica Foundation and Foreningen Folkemødet have entered into an ambitious five-year collaboration, which runs from 2023 to 2028, with the aim of making Folkemødet more inclusive and accessible to all participants, regardless of their physical or cognitive prerequisites. The collaboration is based on the principles of universal design and aims to promote a society where diversity and inclusion are the focus.
As part of this partnership, Marie Christoffersen Gramkow has been hired as project manager responsible for improving accessibility at Folkemødet. Marie Gramkow has a background as a landscape architect and researcher specializing in accessibility and universal design. Her work focuses on identifying and implementing solutions that make Folkemødet more accessible to all, including establishing quiet zones for overstimulated participants and improving wayfinding and information dissemination.
Marie Gramkow is also active in the research community and has contributed to several publications on universal design and accessibility. Her academic work supports her practical efforts at Folkemødet and ensures that the initiatives are based on evidence and best practice.
This partnership between the Bevica Foundation and Folkemødet represents an important step towards creating a more inclusive democratic platform where all citizens have the opportunity to participate and be heard.
