Kolding School of Design

The Kolding School of Design will research and teach universal design and the UN's cross-sectoral sustainability goal to Leave No One Behind.
The Kolding School of Design and the Bevica Foundation have joined forces to put universal design on the agenda. The aim is to give every student at the school the opportunity to learn how to design inclusively and for all people — no matter the ability.
It is the ambition of Design School Kolding that universal design and the Leave No One Behind agenda become an integral part of the school's values, strategy and core narrative.
People with disabilities need to be able to live life on an equal footing with everyone else; to do so, our surroundings must be designed so that everyone can participate. The aim is that the value-based concept of universal design becomes a natural mindset of the design students and that they see it as a lever to achieve the goals of the Leave No One Behind agenda from the UN Social Development Goals (SDG's).
The partnership is part of the Bevica Foundation's strategy to strengthen knowledge and practice in universal design through education and research.
