Bevica Seed Grant 2025
In 2025, DTU Skylab and the Bevica Foundation will award Bevica Seed Grants to three startups originating from students at DTU
In cooperation with DTU Skylab Every year, the Bevica Foundation awards Bevica Seed Grants to selected startup projects created by students at Skylab. Through Seed Grants, we support the development of new, sustainable technological solutions that, based on universal design, contribute to increased inclusion and accessibility. In 2025, Bevica Seed Grants will be given to GradeAid (DKK 70,000), SenseWay (DKK 60,000) and Friendly Compass (DKK 13,000)
“We are very grateful for the support we have received from the Bevica Foundation, which will contribute to the further development and dissemination of our product. We hope that the value we create will contribute to a more inclusive public space, which in the long run can benefit everyone for better navigation.”
This is what the DTU students behind the tactile card SenseWay, which is one of the recipients of the Bevica Seed Grants 2025, say. SenseWay develops tactile signs for toilets in public spaces, which allow blind and partially sighted people to learn about the layout of the toilet.
Another of the Seed Grant recipients Grade Aid develops learning content using AI and integrates universal design to create greater accessibility to learning material. They recount:
“With the support, we can accelerate our development to a level we could only dream of and already this year present our learning platform to neurodivergent children, children in school and children with physical disabilities.”
Friendly Compass is developing a platform for (out) renting out available leases so it will be easier for people with physical disabilities to come on holiday. They received a Seed Grant enabling their participation in the Disability Summit 2025 in Berlin:
“With the support of Bevica, we will have the opportunity to create direct connections with global innovators, advocates and organizations working at the intersection of accessibility, technology and social change — all in one place.”
