“Students with muscle wasting may enjoy going to school via a robot”
Sofie Skoubo is a PhD student at Aarhus University, Department of Public Health. Her PhD thesis is a collaboration between the Danish Rehabilitation Centre for Muscular Disorders (RCFM) and No Isolation, a Norwegian company that has developed the telepresence robot AV1. She is researching the use of telepresence robots to reduce school absenteeism among children and adolescents with neuromuscular diseases. Her research focus is on the ability of telepresence robots to create participation and ensure flexibility in the education system for children with neuromuscular diseases.
