The importance of lighting for people with visual impairment

Senja Ruohonen, PhD Fellow at Aalborg University, is a new member of the Bevica Foundation's interdisciplinary research network. Senja has been invited to join the network for her research work in the Research Group for Universal Design at BUILD. She investigates how people with visual impairments experience and use lighting in their homes, and how the findings can inform residential practices.

Senja Ruohonen undersøger i sin ph.d., hvordan mennesker med nedsat syn oplever og bruger belysning i hverdagen. Hun kombinerer kvalitative interviews og lysmålinger for at forstå både praktiske og stemningsmæssige behov i boligindretning.
