Communicative Accessibility – Equality and Respect

Frederik Højer Gybel is a speech and language therapist and associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark. He works with adults who have acquired communication and language difficulties following brain injury. In addition, he focuses on communicative accessibility, conversation partner training, and the adaptation of digital health tools for people with cognitive and language challenges.

Thousands of stroke patients find it difficult to use the digital health system

A new research project is investigating how digital health systems can be adapted for people with aphasia after a stroke. Using universal design and aphasy-friendly PRO questionnaires, solutions are being tested that can ensure better communication and equity in health care.
