AAU Innovation - Aalborg University

The Bevica Foundation and AAU Innovation at Aalborg University will strengthen knowledge about Universal Design in education, so that future graduates from selected programmes at universities will be prepared to think about inclusion and equality in their work and solutions.

The Bevica Foundation and Aalborg University (AAU) collaborate to integrate universal design into innovation and entrepreneurship education at AAU Innovation.

Partnership builds on AAU's educational model Problem-Based and Project-Based Learning (PBL) and integrates universal design into entrepreneurship education. Through new teaching courses and practical cases, students learn to think inclusion into their solutions from the start — both in their studies and in their future work.

The partnership is a pilot project involving eight degree programs across AAU's four faculties. Here, educators and researchers develop new methods and teaching courses to connect universal design with innovation and entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to work with concrete projects where they develop accessible and inclusive solutions in urban space, construction and technology.

The collaboration is part of the Bevica Foundation's strategy to promote research and education in universal design and will run as a pilot project until the end of 2027.

We are constantly updating this page with new initiatives and initiatives from the partnership so you can keep up with it.
