“Nature experiences are good for the mind, but only if it is accessible”

Stine Bekke-Hansen, PhD Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, is a new member of the Bevica Foundation's interdisciplinary research network. Stine has been invited into the network for his research-oriented study of the effects of nature in people with movement disabilities. The aim is to investigate how increased accessibility for people with movement disabilities can create greater and better health effects.

A new PhD project investigates how nature can become more accessible to people with mobility impairments so that they have the same health effects as others. The project also looks at how activities in nature can increase the impact of nature experiences.
