After-work talk on Universal Design - April 30
Join us for a free after-work event on universal design – open to everyone. At the event, you’ll get a solid introduction to universal design and learn how to apply it in practice when planning meetings, events, and other gatherings.

The Bevica Foundation invites you to the first in a series of after-work events on Universal Design – free of charge and open to everyone.
The events will take place twice a year and will always include an introduction to the basics of Universal Design, as well as a rotating thematic talk that explores practical applications of UD in depth. There will also be time for questions and discussion.
This event is for anyone who works – or would like to work – with Universal Design, regardless of professional background.
Programme
Arrival from 15:00
15:30 – Welcome
Camilla Ryhl, Research Director, Bevica Foundation
15:35 – Introduction to Universal Design
Meet The Bevica Foundation’s Universal Design experts and get an introduction to the concept of Universal Design: What it is; how to understand and apply it in practice; what it is not; and how it relates to other, related concepts.
With this introduction (including practical examples), you will be well equipped to work with UD. You will also have the opportunity to network with others who work with, or are curious about, Universal Design.
16:10–16:30 – Break (coffee, tea, fruit and cake)
16:30 – Universal Design in practice: events and meetings
We will focus on how to apply Universal Design in practice when planning and running events and meetings – large and small. We’ll cover the full process, from planning and communication to delivery and follow-up, for both physical and digital meetings/events.
We will share knowledge, tools, checklists and experience, so you can take concrete resources home to support your continued work with Universal Design.
