Supportive Environments for All: The Synergy of Universal and Biophilic Design for Mental Health Inclusivity
Eliza Michailidi seeks to answer how we can design spaces that incorporate biophilic elements to create inclusive, non-stigmatizing and therapeutic environments for individuals with anxiety, depression and neurodivergence, while accommodating diverse needs and promoting well-being. By offering sensory experiences designed based on nature’s therapeutic properties and tailored to diverse needs, this project promotes well-being, supports mental health and strengthens social inclusivity, ultimately improving the overall quality of life for all.
Eliza plans to visit different knowledge environments in Finland, Canada, Scotland, England, Sweden and the Netherlands.
