Beyond One-Size-Fits-All: Sensory Awareness and Individual Learning Needs as a Path to Inclusive Education
Standardized teaching methods often overlook the diverse sensory needs of students. This project investigates how integrating sensory stimulation into everyday classroom teaching can support participation, focus, and well-being for both neurodivergent and neurotypical students, while also normalizing sensory tools as a valued part of inclusive education.
Drawing on insights from schools in Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Finland, Jasmin Franzen Forsberg explores how Danish public schools can adopt more inclusive, sensory-aware practices grounded in universal design principles.
