Agency of Change in Fashion: Reciprocal Learning Through Universal Design
Christel Arnevik's study looks into how universal design, human-centered design and co-design is used in fashion education to teach inclusion, diversity, and user-centred design for people with special needs, and whether shared knowledge and transparency in data and methods can possibly support reciprocal learning - empowering both design students and people with special needs to become agents of change in the fashion industry.
Christel plans to conduct interviews with educators, students, and people with special needs, as well as workshops. She plans to conduct her research across leading institutions: London College of Fashion, London, UK. Parsons, NY, USA and Mode Gakuen, Japan.
