The good home, with fewer resources
We all want a good home, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, ability, ethnicity, and social status. However, history has shown, that in time of crises with resource- and economic-cutbacks,it is minorities in the society that are left behind.
Adam Linde Nielsen’s project seeks to explore how the knowledge and lived experience of people living with mobility disabilities can inform a future housing culture that is both universally accessible and environmentally sustainable. By recognising that our social and environmental challenges are fundamentally interlinked, the project aims to challenge dominant narratives in architecture and housing design that continue to serve only the majority.
Adam plans to conduct his investigation at School of Architecture, University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
